For many of my friends that are on my email list, it's been a while since I've talked with you. Some I haven't seen in years.
It's also been a while since I've shot much let alone shared much, which is a shame because I love photography. I think all photographers of all skill levels fall into periodic ruts and mine has been an extended one. I've shot off-and-on over the last year or so, but I was lacking the passion for it that I've had in the past.
I recently purchased a medium format Pentax 645Z and it's inspired me to begin shooting again, and that in turn has reminded me of the joy that I get from getting out there with my gear and producing images.
Yesterday's ice storm brought down a few trees in my yard but also gave me some great material to shoot. And, here I'm sharing a couple of images from that shoot. Hope you enjoy.
PS, please let me know if you would like to be removed from this list. I don't mean to fill your inbox with content that you do not wish to see.
These tall trees stand out from the forest like elders. Today they wear coats of snow and ice and their presence is noticed even greater.
As the midday sun begins a brief thaw in the overnight ice, these icicles begin to melt. Droplets of water form and trapped bubbles sparkle in sunlight.
