Lately, a busy work schedule with lots of travel have meant that I've had little time shooting. After a week on the road, I was driving home on icy roads, battling against strong blowing winds with visibility sometimes dropping to zero. Then, to my left, the sun poked through the clouds and painted this scene. I quickly pulled aside, zipped up my coat and ventured into the deep snow in the ditch to capture this. Within seconds my hands and face were frozen in the arctic winds but in return I was rewarded with this image of winter skies and frigid serenity.
