Tropical delight

Lush palm trees are silhouetted by the rich colours of a Cuban sunset.  OK, ok, I know this shot is very cliché, but I love it nevertheless!

Cayo Blanco, Cleared for take-off

A quarter mile south of the Cuban village, Pillon, there is a series of white sand islands, this one is known as Cayo Blanco.  The island is a tropical paradise surrounded by turquoise Caribbean water.

In this image captured at Cayo Blanco, Sand Pipers take flight one after another.  The scene reminds me of aircraft lined up at a busy airport, as each aircraft taxis into position and awaits clearance.

Maria de Portilla, Cuba

The ocean foam of the Caribbean Sea coats the wet sands of Maria de Portilla, Cuba during these early morning scenes.

Cuban Sunrise

As the morning sun breaks the horizon a warm glow floods the Caribbean Sea with an orange glow.  Along the shoreline, a horse gallops by carrying his Cuban master to the endless sound of crashing waves.

Warm Winter Embrace

As the short cold days of January circle us, these long weeds flow in a frigid, but gentle sunset breeze.  Despite snow, ice and frost, these remain soft and remind me of being embraced by warmer days.  Both a reminder of the past and a hint of the future.
