A sweet trip in March

Each March, the powerful rays of our summer sun begin to shine upon us turning deep snow into slushy puddles, and like an egg timer, the long hanging icicles begin the countdown for spring, one drip at a time. This year, I ventured out with my kids to “la Sucrerie de la Montagne” in Rigaud Quebec. This old-world sugar bush features historic log cabins, maple taffy in cold snow and a fantastic dining room filled with the sounds of fiddles, singing and the crackling of a huge open fire. The location featured some good food and great opportunities to focus my lens and create these beautiful images.
